Is Land Distribution in South Africa Fair?
The South African people are a people who have known dark moments in their history, as have many people, especially black people. Do we remember apartheid in South Africa? Of course, everyone remembers it. Apartheid was legally established in 1948 in South Africa and lasted for about fifty years. However, for chronological sessions of misery, we should look at what was happening a few centuries earlier than the 1940s. Let's leave this as a separate topic, and go back to the 1990s when apartheid in South Africa legally ended.

Just as the apartheid system that had been based on separation and cruelty in order to keep white supremacy or white political-economic dominance ended with the first free election in 1994, and from which Nelson Mandela aka Madiba emerged victorious after spending 27 years in jail because he had raised his voice against apartheid. As a result, the first law passed by the then parliament was the Land Rights Restitution Act (1994). As the name suggests, the said law was put in place to allow for the restitution of land lost by the people from whom it had been forcibly taken.

The victims believed that the African National Congress (ANC) government was going to do something worthwhile by returning their land to them, but this was not the case. The years have passed, and the famous land rights legislation of 1994 has also entered a dream perspective. As a result, the restitution and equitable distribution of South African land remains a topic of discussion even today. And as they said, atrocious memories come back from time to time to harm our minds, and the huge injustices cannot be forgotten, the ANC government continues its demagogic policy to appease the spirits of the victims, and in fact, various laws on this subject have emerged, but their application has remained abstract.

So, the question we must ask ourselves is why are the white people who own the victims' land trying to pass themselves off as victims because of the new expropriation law? Of course, this law, like all the others, will remain unenforceable. Despite the ANC party's rise to power for more than 30 years, South Africa does not really have a rich black class, if so, the difference between rich blacks and rich whites is huge. According to official sources, the data showed that the South African population is made up of about 7% whites against 83% blacks. So, it is easy to say that South Africa is a black country without going into the archaeological and historical facts.

Another question that may be asked is where do these whites come from? Whatever the answer, black South Africans own 4%1 of privately-held land. Therefore, is land repartition in South Africa fair? Since the ANC party came to power, whites have continued to enjoy their privileges as if they had not committed heinous acts on children and the entire black South African population. So, should these white people resettle in the United States as Donald Trump's administration has offered them? They will not go anywhere, because they are fine and they are not persecuted in South Africa; and even if they were persecuted, they would go nowhere, for your heart is attached where your treasure is.

To conclude, ask Errol Musk2  his views on South Africa, he would answer: “The ANC government has impoverished South Africa for 30 years, blacks are nice, but they don't do things like whites, because they are disorganized [...], blacks like dirt,”3 to name but a few. God! may South Africa, one day, have a government that gives back to the victims what was stolen or taken from them by force despite the consequences that this may cause, and it will be justice. South Africa should not be satisfied with the fact that it is the largest economy in Africa, in reality, people suffer when we know that a minority of whites alone control almost all the wealth of the country.
