Letter to Joe

Dear Joe,

As time passes and power, glory, etc., also pass, I use my pen to send you this letter.

Today we are in winter, we are old, and towards the holy mountain my gaze rises, I see the seven lamps that shine in him that begin to go out one after the other; There is no doubt that their energy resource cannot be renewed, because the rope has already broken, the jug has already broken, the water is returning to its source. They weep or they rejoice, and those who weep call to the four winds, alas! the seven trumpet blasts have already sounded. Those who know winter despite everything must leave, because we only know the seasons once in our life.

And those who rejoice rejoice because a wicked man goes away and let him go, for he has not done any good work and has done nothing of value during his time on earth. In everything he has done, there is cunning, diplomacy, politics and hypocrisy in it. Partiality has marked his actions, so much the worse for the poor and especially the blacks, they must know hell, they must be victims. Alas! I was there, my spirit allowed me to see, they laughed about us, they said to themselves that we had snatched our independence too soon, we should remain in slavery again.

Dirty diplomacy is being set against us, they have put their paw on our neck because we have the most beautiful story in the world. How can a small country that is not the size of a bed in your house pose a threat to your hegemony? And why is this black woman with such a tender smile heading for destruction? Alas! for a hundred years it has been suffering, then two hundred years have passed, it is suffering, and who is the cause of it? And why should the portrait of your first black president be removed a second time from the house of all colors? And why should the wretched people whom you have brought to your home under the pretext that you are generous should be expelled as vile objects?

They must return to the place from which they came, humiliated and abandoned, for all kinds of insults were spat on them. So much the worse for these innocent people, so much the worse for the unfortunate ones who don't have a European specimen. Come on, gather the politicians, ask them to release billions to finance wars or to go and fight those who are nostalgic and obsessed with the greatness of the past, and yet what happened has happened, we will never see it again. You have never been told that you don't fight an obsessive person, because he is already lost in his fantasies, preferably we should try to bring him to his senses through dialogue or any other soothing means.

If a man of sound mind fights a madman in the street or in secret, passers-by or spectators are sure to guess that it is two madmen who are fighting. Fight, woe to the children, the elderly, the vulnerable and those who have nowhere else to go, they must know misery and death; their name must be changed to martyr or survivor of war. I am there, I look at the proud of the earth who think that they are superior to the unfortunate innocents, and especially the unfortunate blacks; they fight, because their pride consists in destroying themselves and the unfortunate innocents.

I screamed, injustice! and I demanded justice! for those who fell innocently. You had power when the murderers, thieves and drug traffickers came to your home and planned the death of the one the people elected to defend their interests. They laughed at him, they toasted his misfortune, they rejoiced, because they were going to suppress a naïve leader. And lo and behold, they really went to his home, they gouged out his eye, they broke his limb, they shed his blood on the floor of his house, and he left martyred. He is gone, but his blood has not ceased to cry out for justice before the Almighty.

We were humiliated, the bandits and thieves multiplied, they made our lives impossible, we cried out for help, and by way of response and support, you made a dirty diplomacy with the name of the one who took power in the name of democracy and who is vilely assassinated. If I had power, I would do good, I would dispense justice, and I would do justice. I declare wicked the one who has power and does not use it to perform good deeds. Come on, the reign of the wicked has come to an end, and may your reign end in every sense of the word.
